Money
What it costs.
Does this cost me anything?
There is no homeowner fee for using Renovation Ally’s planner or requesting an introduction. Participating contractors pay us. Any renovation work is quoted and charged separately by the contractor.
Can you tell me what my bathroom will cost?
We can explain what affects the cost, but we don’t quote renovation work. A contractor needs to discuss the scope and may need to see the room before providing a quote.
Your information
Who sees what.
Do I have to give my phone number to use the planner?
No. You can use the planner without contact details. We ask for contact information separately when you request an introduction.
How many companies receive my request?
One eligible contractor receives your request first. We don’t send it to a list of companies at the same time. Any later introduction follows our sharing policy and your consent.
What does the contractor see?
The project and contact details you review before submitting, including the budget range you choose to share on the request form. A private budget entered in the planner stays separate.
Can I ask you to delete my details?
Yes. Contact us about accessing, correcting, or deleting your information. Our privacy notice explains how we handle these requests and any records we need to retain.
The work
Who does what.
Do you do the renovation?
No. We arrange introductions. Your contractor discusses the project, provides the quote, and is responsible for the work and warranty. Your renovation agreement is with them.
What if you don’t have a suitable contractor?
We’ll tell you if we can’t make a suitable introduction. There is no homeowner fee, and you can keep using your plan independently.
What if I don’t hear from the contractor?
Contact us and we’ll check the status of your request. If another introduction is appropriate, we’ll explain the next step and obtain any permission needed before sharing your details again.
Am I obliged to hire the contractor?
No. An introduction gives you a chance to discuss the project. You decide whether to arrange a visit, accept a quote, or hire the contractor.
